tattoo help on tuning my machine?
ok i have a tattoo machine that’s a short stroke and i want it to become a long stroke i try turning the contact strew and still the same. is it any other way that i can make my machine run long stroke.. please let me know thank you
Your machine is a liner. You need a shader as well, although you can usually tune them for both. Try setting it to between a dime and a penny’s width for a liner, a nickle’s width for a shader. Run it at about twelve volts. That should be more than enough. Be sure the contact screw is held in place by the side screw on the front binding post. (I usually replace the steel screw with a plastic fiber one so it doesnt mess up the contact screw)
