Sterile Tattoo

I got my first tattoo last night- now how do I take care of it?
I got my very first tattoo last night. A friend of mine did it at home, old school style, by hand. (Don’t worry, it was sterile) Surprisingly enough, it doesn’t hurt at all and is barely pink. I know I need to take care of it, though. He said to keep it moist, but I’m not sure what he meant by that. What do I need to do? Thanks!
Don’t use peroxide!! I just used a light cream to keep it moist.. Use polysporn, i helps with the healing process.. keeps the tat moist..and avoids scarring. My tat. turned out fine!
