How long would it take to bleed to death?
I’m not suicidal but I’m trying to figure this out for a short story project. If someone were to stick needles and tubes attached to the needles (four needles. one in each arm and one in each leg) how long do you think it would take to bleed out?
it depends on what artery you would put them in. your femoral (thigh) artery is a rather large artery, cut one of them and not control the bleeding you will probably die in about 15 mins (note that these are estimates and depends on the person). same thing with the arm, if you cut the brachial artery you will probably bleed out in about 20-25 min. cut all 4 and i would guess you will die in about 5 mins.
