Machine Liner

Machine Liner
Can you wash a vinyl shower curtain in the washing machine?

I’ve read you can do that. Is it true? I have a shower liner made of another material, and I can’t remember what it is. Could I put that in there, too?
OK, there seems to be some disagreement on the water temperature. Does anyone have websites that will confirm their point about the temperatures?

Yes, make sure you use warm water, not hot not cold. Add a fews towels to the wash. You can put it in the dryer but set the temp to Air Dry (no heat)
**The reason you use warm water is that cold water makes vinyl hard and brittle and not pliable enough to get clean not to mention more fragile. Hot water makes the vinyl too soft and will stick to itself so the entire surface will not be exposed to the cleaning solution and cycle.
Use vinegar not bleach.
Bonus Hint…When cleaning hard surfaces bleach does a better job in COLD water. I learned this in a 4 hour sanitation class given by my state health board.
