Grips Inks

Toddler who still doesn’t know which hand he writes with?
I’m not obsessing over this, I just wanted other people’s input.
My recently turned 4 year old son still doesn’t write with a dominant hand. He isn’t in preschool yet b/c he was born ONE day after the cut off date…. (ya, that’s another story) ![]()
Anyway, he started batting, in baseball, left handed when he was 3 years old.
He writes his name, numbers, and letters with his left hand.
He colors with his right hand.
SOMETIMES, when he is starting to write, draw, or color, he will write with his right hand, but he grips the pen with his whole hand, uncomfortably, and it is not legible, and sometimes the pen doesn’t even write with ink b/c he is holding the pen so crooked.
THEN, at that point, he will switch, and begin to write with his left hand.
Has any parents out there experienced this? He has been writing his name and spelling out words on paper for a while, but it’s still like he doesn’t have a dominant hand.
Thanks
My sister use to do this and turned out to be a righty and my daughter as far back as i can remember has used her left hand to do everything, but the way you explain it he seems to be a lefty but testing the waters with the right soon enough he will feel its not right and switch to fully left handed.
