Display Light Sign

Verticle line on display screen of laptop suddenly appeared?
I noticed it while I was watching a dvd on my laptop. It appeared and kept going away and coming back for a while. Now it’s a solid light blue line.
I assume this isn’t a very good sign. Is there any way I can make it go away? What does it mean?
You can’t make it go a way, it is a problem with the screen = you will need a new screen if it is bothering you or just “live with it”
