Digital Ultrasonic

Digital Ultrasonic
Canon E05 A2, ultrasonic lenses, will lenses fit on different body?

I have 3 very nice lenses for this camera. Its a film camera and I want to buy a digital body. Will my lenses fit on a different canon body? Do I need to look for a specific measurement?

They will as long as they are EOS EF or EFs lenses. Basically any auto focus Canon lens will work. The older manual focus FD mount will not.

Edit:
All EF and EFs lenses will work on any of the APS-C sized sensor Canon SLR’s. I have a 30D and with the exception of one lens (the EFs 10-22mm) they are all EF lenses. The EFs (digital only) lenses will only work on the APS-C sized cameras like the Rebels and 30D 40D and 50D. They will not work on the full frame cameras like the 5D or 1DS MKIII or on 35mm film cameras. Also because of the crop factor of the APS-C sized sensor you need to multiply the focal length of any lens by 1.6 to get the 35mm equivalent. This is why the kit lens on these cameras is often the EFs 18-55mm. The kit lens for the film cameras was 28-90mm. To get the same field of view they had to make a smaller lens. This is also why you need the 10-22mm to get truly wide angle shots. The upside to this though is on the telephoto end. If you use a lens like the 70-200mm it performs like a 112-320mm lens would on a film camera. See the link below for lens compatability.
