A good brand of tattoo machine and power supply for new apprentice?
I am starting a tattoo apprenticeship in about a month and I was wondering if there were any artists on this site that have any ideas as to what a great machine and power supply (I would prefer a digital reading) would be? I currently have a joe kaplan that I bought almost 5 years ago when I had my first apprenticeship (my teacher had to quit due to personal reasons, thus I quit as well), but I would like to upgrade to something better. I need details for a good machine! and power supply is equally important! Thank you for any responses.
Listen to the person that is training you, not people on the internet.
Hold off, buying a machine before you need it will just be a waste. There are a ton of good tattoo machine makers out there, but they can all run differently, how you tattoo, your preferred machine setup will all be important when choosing what machine to buy.
Stay away from cheap crappy machines.
