Can you weld extruded aluminum alloy 6063 t5?
Is it posibble to weld two pieces of Aluminum Alloy 6063 T5 extrussions together? If so, how is it possible?
Its no problem to TIG (same as heliarc) the metals together. The real problem is that the properties of the weld will be much poorer than the original material. If you need the original properties, you must heat treat the joint after welding.
